For someone who doesn’t have a sweet tooth, Chester Street has stolen my heart. And my stomach.
When you have somewhere that makes you comfortable, and provides you with good food and service, it’s done its job. Funtastico in Subiaco does that. I’ve been eating there for around about seven years now and it never fails to impress. It’s an institution of Subiaco and I am glad to see that it is unchanged.
So I’ve been to Hope and Anchor and I am happy to say that it’s bloody good. Walking into the neighbourhood bar (on Saturday and on another evening) I was greeted by a couple of charming bartenders and the feeling of being in an old pub. The latter which I had yet to experience in Brisbane.
Pizza + beer + wine + good company = one happy Alice.
Looking for a spot for lunch, Brewski was a great and easy choice. One of the few places on Caxton Street that is open during the day (during the week), Brewski offers easy foods and a bloody impressive beer list.
When you eat somewhere three times in a seven-day period, you know you’re on to something good. That place is Arriva.
