OutinPerth Pride WA article June 2012

Wow. Did you come out in force or what? Thank you to all of those who made it to the Glammys and who made it the fantastic night it was. Not only did you attend, look great, and obviously have a great time, but you made the atmosphere which made it the brilliant night it was. A big thank you to Nat Ripepi and Rose Parker for hosting the event and to all of our sponsors, especially those who sponsored the individual awards themselves. It was fantastic to some of the people from the community get the thanks that they deserve.

And now suddenly May is done and dusted and it’s way past time for memberships to be renewed. Luckily enough for all of you, the list of membership benefits grows and continues to do so with the hard work of our membership officer and the rest of the committee.

We are looking to ensure that we give you a variety of benefits for being a member, and not just the things you’re used to. We’re on the search for interesting, useful benefits that cater to all, not just the few who like to visit the local nightspots or like discounts to our events. We’re looking at home wear stores, restaurants, shopping, hotels, cafes, things to do; everything you could want is what we’re looking at, giving you more and more reasons to become a Pride member. All membership benefits from last year still apply including you receiving half price entry into Connections, and discounts at Hairfree and a Touch of Beauty in Joondalup and of course, you always get discounted tickets to our events.

Our next event is again all about you. Except this time it’s not about saying thank you to your community, it’s about letting your hair down to celebrate the community and embrace winter. Yes, that’s right. The Winter Party. What more could you want than an amazing party to keep you warm this July? A chance to party with your community, in not only a completely new environment, but in a completely different way.
